Rams WR Davante Adams will miss 6-10 weeks with ruptured hamstring, Sean McVay says

In a press conference on Monday, Rams head coach Sean McVay told reporters that Adams ruptured his hamstring. He will be out six to 10 weeks with the injury.

Adams appeared to injure himself on the final drive of Sunday's loss to the Arizona Cardinals: The 33-year-old receiver pulled up suddenly and started hopping in the back of the end zone, before limping off the field. The Cardinals won the game with a late rally and a walk-off field goal.

Adams leads the Rams in receiving yards so far this season, and was a key part of the team's offense with players like Puka Nacua missing time at the start of the year. In six games, Adams had racked up 480 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

A six-week recovery would see Adams returning to the field sometime in December, while 10 could mean the receiver would be back in time for the last two regular-season games in January. Given the timeline, the Rams will likely place Adams on injured reserve.

Adams is one of four significant injuries that McVay announced on Monday: Defensive tackle Poona Ford is out for the year with a tricep injury, while DT Kobie Turner is headed to injured reserve with a groin injury. Kicker Blake Grupe, who just signed with the team last week, is also out for the season with a knee injury after he attempted a tackle early in Sunday's game.

The loss to Arizona dropped the Rams to 2-4, a stunning turn of events for a team that was heavily touted ahead of the regular season.
