Isla Fisheris opening up about "trying to create a new life" in the wake of her divorce fromSacha Baron Cohen.

In a new interview with U.K. publicationElle Decorationpublished Wednesday, Nov. 12, theNow You See Me: Now You Don'tactress, 49, said settling into her newly finished London home took a bit of getting used to.

"When it all arrived, I did have a bit of a cry because this was my first time as a single woman, being in a home of my own," she told the publication of the decorating process.

Fisher and theBoratstar, 54,finalized their divorcein June, after they previouslyannounced that they had filed for divorce in 2023, ending 13 years of marriage. The former couple sharethree children, two daughters and one son, who they keep out of the spotlight.

"Trying to create a new life from a grassroots level, at least emotionally, has been challenging, but deeply rewarding," theConfessions of a Shopaholicactress added in her interview withElle Decoration.

And although she has parted ways with her spouse of more than a decade, the Australian actress said she's more than content in her life, and loving the space she calls home.

"I'm enjoying this new version of my life," Fisher said. "I don't need to party in my house anymore. I love to get in the bath. I'll light some candles, bring in my laptop and put on something on Netflix. That's as exciting as it gets."

When announcing their divorce had been finalized, the couple shared their mutual respect in a statement.

"We are proud of all we've achieved together and, continuing our great respect for each other, we remain friends and committed to co-parenting our wonderful children," the statement read. "We ask for the media to continue to respect our children's privacy."

Over the summer, theWedding Crashersactress spoke withHarper's Bazaar Australiafor the magazine's August cover story and got candid about her "tough couple of years" and how she was handling life lately.

"I'm really excited for the next chapter," she said in the interview. "I'm refocusing on my career because previously I was very much focused on my kids, which I still am, obviously, because [they're] my true love. But I'm enjoying tackling work again."

She added that her "challenging situation" gave her the opportunity to put things into perspective and try to figure out what it is she wanted to do "professionally and privately."

"I'm trying to remind myself of my new identity as somebody outside of a partnership and to stay as buoyant as possible," Fisher said. "Any time there's change, it's hard to adapt. But hopefully I'm doing an okay job."
