Adele wrapped her Las Vegas residencyin 2024 by saying, "I don't know when I'm next going to perform again."
She's confirmed her desire to stretch artistically by making her acting debut in the upcoming Tom Ford movie, "Cry to Heaven."
According toDeadline, which broke news of the project,Adelewill be part of a cast that includes Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Hunter Schafer, Colin Firth, Thandiwe Newton andPedro Pascal's sister, Lux Pascal.

Fashion mogul Ford will direct, produce and write the film an adaptation of Anne Rice's 1982 novel of the same name. The fictional story about two men − a Venetian noble and a castrated opera singer − is set in 18th-century Italy. The film is currently in pre-production in London and Rome.

The cast of "Cry to Heaven" is rounded out by stars Ciarán Hinds, George MacKay, Mark Strong, Paul Bettany, Owen Cooper, Daniel Quinn-Toye, Josephine Thiesen, Theodore Pellerin, Daryl McCormack, Cassian Bilton and Hauk Hannenmann.

Before movie role, Adele told fans she was taking a break
Adele performed her"Weekends with Adele" residency at Caesars Palace for two years of sold-out shows. During a handful of shows in Germany in summer 2024,Adele told fansthat once her residency finished that fall, "I will not see you for an incredibly long time and I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break."
