Smith passed Layne Riggs on the final restart, lined up to Riggs' outside as the No. 34 defended the bottom lane.

Still, Riggs shaved Kaden Honeycutt's points lead to 20 with one race to go after sweeping the first two stages at Martinsville. Honeycutt was shuffled back on that same restart from the top five back to 14th.
