Week 6 delivered a second straight week with few major injuries – and fantasy managers are thankful for that. However, Week 7 brings a second straight week with four teams on a Bye. One of those teams is the Chargers, but the others have players that you actually might want to start in fantasy. Also, there are still lots of players out with injuries from earlier in the season.

The waiver wire might not be offering league winners, but that's OK. It's still providing much-needed life support to fantasy managers who are simply trying to field competent lineups. It's like Hogwarts – help will always be given to those who ask for it.

The Process : Each week, I try to identify the top Waiver Wire targets and evaluate the short- and long-term prospects of those players. I also do my best to reveal which players who are coming off a big week are fool's gold. Finally, I look at streamers who might help you in a pinch (this is usually more important during Bye weeks).

Some players discussed won't be available in your league. I try to list players who are available in more than 50% of leagues. But what does that even mean? A 10-team league with six bench spots will have a much larger Free Agent pool than a 14-team league with eight. Most leagues fall somewhere in between. This isn't "one size fits all." By way of example, I won't list Josh Jacobs, Zach Charbonnet, Denzel Boston, Marvin Harrison, Jr. , Keon Coleman, and Brenton Strange , among others who probably aren't available in any of your leagues.

Note that I'm writing this column BEFORE the Week 6 Monday night game (WAS @ SF).

WEEK 7 BYES: Bills, Chargers, Commanders, and Jaguars

I've been pushing C.J. Stroud in this space for several weeks running, and he keeps delivering QB1 finishes. He should be rostered in 1-QB leagues, as he's averaging 19 fantasy points per game (FPPG), which is just outside the Top-12 and slightly better than Dak Prescott and Matthew Staffford. Houston's vaunted defense hasn't shown up this season, so Stroud is being asked to put up points. It's the exact opposite of the 2025 playoffs. This week's matchup is the Giants, who just yielded four total TDs to Tyler Shough (QB2 for the week, pending the Monday night game).

Aaron Rodgers makes my list for the fourth straight week. He's putting up good points, on a pass-happy offense, and the schedule is favorable. That's the explanation, again.

Kirk Cousins continues to be more than serviceable as a QB2. We might see Fernando Mendoza sometime in November or December, but for now it's Captain Kirk's starship.

Kyler Murray is at home against the Colts, who allow the seventh most FPPG to opposing QBs, and he looked a lot better in his last start. Malik Willis and Geno Smith are facing each other, and both should be serviceable if you need them as a second QB in a Superflex format.

Kendre Miller has been a regular in this column. He's sharing, and the Saints have struggled to run the ball, but he's getting ample volume and should be rostered in all formats.

Rachaad White will be seeing a lot of volume for as long as "Bill" is out. And he has stand-alone value when the backfield is fully healthy too.

Roschon Johnson is getting plenty of run behind D'Andre Swift while Kyle Monangai is out with turf toe, and he scored each of the last two weeks. Since the Bears play Thursday night, there's a decent chance that Johnson will get one more game as the 1B in Chicago's proficient rushing attack.

Samaje Perine has a role, which has expanded amid Chase Brown's struggles. He deserves to be rostered. He garnered 14 carries (plus two receptions) in the Bengals' last game.

Tyjae Spears and Nick Singleton are stashes in deeper-bench leagues. It's a terrible offense, but Tony Pollard is a trade candidate.

A few other names to think about, if you're in need and/or want some depth that could pop later: Tyler Allgeieir , Tyler Goodson , Emmett Johnson, Najee Harris and Tyrone Tracy, Jr. (it's hard to know what's going on with the Big Blue backfield, but at some point a new lead back may emerge), Brian Robinson, Jr., Kaelon Black , and Mike Washington, Jr.

I'll mention Tyreek Hill again, although he still hasn't signed. Another stash I keep listing is Jordyn Tyson , who should be back soon.

Now let's talk about some rookies. I wrote several times in the preseason about how you need to be patient with rookie receivers, who often pop later in the season. Well, the popping is happening.

I was ready to put Germie Bernard in my list of "players who probably aren't available in your league" and then I saw his roster percentages on the major platforms, one of which was around 50%. Doesn't anyone read my columns? Or every other analyst's columns? Bernard is a priority add if he's available in your league. A-Rod trusts him, the Steelers are very banged-up at the position, and he's good. The last two weeks: 17 catches for 167 yards and a TD, on 21 targets.

Ja'Kobi Lane returned in Week 6 and it was encouraging, and it'll only get better when Lamar Jackson returns. Lane wowed in the preseason and should quickly replace Rashod Bateman as the #2 wideout in Baltimore – in fact that started to happen in the second half on Sunday.

More rookies to roster: Omar Cooper, Jr. (103 yards and a TD in Week 6) and K.C. Concepcion . Adonai Mitchell should be back soon for the Jets, and he also should be rostered, but I doubt both he and Cooper will be fantasy-relevant once both are playing.

Tre Tucker has two outstanding weekly performances this season, and four forgettable ones. That's what you're going to get with him, but he's the #1 WR in Vegas and should be on rosters (and can be started as needed, just know he's very boom/bust).

Travis Hunter is getting more run on offense, and he took advantage of that this week (4-59-1 on four targets). Both he and Jakobi Meyers are a little tough to trust on a weekly basis, but both should be rostered. Hunter is a cheat code if you're in an IDP league and he can be started as a defender.

We might not see Davante Adams again until December. Both Jordan Whittington and Konata Mumpfield are on the radar. Of the two, I think Mumpfield has more upside.

Need depth? I'll repeat a bunch of names I've listed in recent weeks, together with some new ones: Keenan Allen (nine or more targets in three straight games), Malik Washington, Kendrick Bourne, Chris Bell , Antonio Williams , Savion Williams , Brandin Cooks , Cyrus Allen , DeMario Douglas , Jaylin Noel , and Tre Harris .

It's hard to trust any of the Rams tight ends (since they rotate so many of them), but Terrance Ferguson could be back the week after next, and he's the most exciting playmaker of the bunch. He's worth a flier. Tyler Higbee should also retain relevance with the Adams injury.

Others to consider if you need help: Chig Okonkwo , Hunter Henry , and Pat Freiermuth .

That's all I've got. Good luck with your waiver claims!
